Nongovernmental organisations are very important partners of the local government of the Kujavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship (pol. województwo kujawsko-pomorskie)in the scope of realizing projects, they contribute to the development and the activity of inhabitants. Associations and foundations are “close” to citizens, know they needs, are able to response to problems fast and effectively. Approximately 3,500 nongovernmental organisations are registered in the area of the Kujavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and most of them operate actively in their local communities. In this group 700 organisations cooperate with the voivodeship government.
The coordination of cooperation of the voivodeship government with nongovernmental organizations is the responsibility of the Office of the Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with Nongovernmental Organizations by the Office of the Marshal of the Kujavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. /contact/
All activities within the cooperation are included in the Program for Cooperation of the Kujavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship’s Government with Nongovernment Organisations and Public Benefit Organisations, which every year is adopted in the form of a resolution by the legislative body of the Kujavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The Office of the Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with Nongovernmental Organizations, mentioned above, is responsible for its implementation.
The rules for the cooperation are regulated by Act of 24th April 2003 on public benefit and volunteer work (Dziennik Ustaw (Journal of Laws) No. 96, item 873, as amended). The cooperation is realized on two levels: financial and non-financial.
